WALLS

 The inside of the house had walls

     Walls to keep out

     Walls to keep in

     Walls for protection

     Walls for decoration

Some Walls took you up

     Some Walls took you down

     Some Walls were old

     Some Walls were new

Some Walls had pictures

     Some Walls were plain

     Some Walls were beautiful

     Some Walls were ugly

Some Walls were in transition

    - part up, part torn down

The Builder had a plan

     The Architect had a plan

But, the home owner kept changing his mind

     The homeowner hadn't decided

     what will make him happy...

     despite painful choices.

     

  

A DREAM

 I had a dream  - once

Now I have nothing

Just me, alone

Day to Day

Wandering from 

Nothing to nothing

I have hopes - now

for my children

Maybe they can fulfill

a dream they have

Perhaps I can help them

Even though my dreams are gone

And I just live

Just me, alone

-people to invite over

-customers with needs

-friends who need advice

-people we pray for

-situations we pray for

-countries I've visited

-countries I want to visit

-places I've walked

-family Birthdays

-extended family names

We drive ourselves crazy with our lists. But... we can't live without them.

Solitary Confinement

 Here I am in Solitary  

I've not committed any crime 

The family stays away 

I'm bound to do my time. 

Food comes through a door 

A tiny door will open 

I can't see who is there 

For some friendship I am hopin' .

How long will I be here 

No family,  no friends 

No hugs, no touch,  no kisses 

Until this Covid ends.

Studied Science 'til the end of the Term
Said Bran to Germ and Germ to Bran
Let's make some Healthy People if we can
Said Endosperm in a quivering Voice
It ain't no use, cause the people have choice
All those greasy foods clogging up their Tract
Taste so very yummy, and that's a Fact!

The Dead Dog

He sat there by the roadside, crying
Is there none to care for me?
Lame and Blind, forsaken
Unknown Humanity

The People all around him
Mocked, stared and ignored
For they were much too busy
Their time to him afford!

Someone else will help him
They said within their Heart
And so they hurried onward
A brand new day to start.

So there, he sat alone
As one, no one could see
No one could even hear him
Invisible was he.

Trouble

What will you do when trouble comes
When man stands in your way?
What will you do?
How will you react
Will these things cause you to sway?

Will you stand firm on the Word of God
Believing by faith in His Voice?
Choosing to live by His Guidance?
That's really your only Choice !
